Procedure code 85060 blood smear , peripheral

Medicare denied payment for a blood smear 85060 which was performed in the snf (pos code "31") of a hospital. I was told I cannot bill for this service in the snf. Does anyone know how to get paid for this procedure in the skilled nursing facility setting?
