CPT® code J1725

I have a question about the J1725 CPT® code. The code is for 1mg, so if we are giving 250mg are we supposed to bill 250 units? Thank you for your help.

re: CPT® code J1725

Thank you for your response, we are giving the hydroxyprogesterone caproate for preterm labor. Is this still the correct CPT® code to use? Thank you for responding!

re: CPT® code J1725

I'm no expert but there is no conversion to workout from mg to mg. Your code is right and it should be 250 assuming you're giving it all at once. 5 is only right if you're using that other code because that one is per 50mg.

I agree, it all in how much you are administering at a time.

re: CPT® code J1725

I am still confused by this. If we are dispensing 250 ml of J1725, should I be billing for 250 units? When I look at the allowables, this seems excessive but to use 5 units does not cover cost. I'd appreciate some help. Thanks

re: CPT® code J1725

It should be billed at 250 units, because the code is listed as 1 per unit.
