Excision of umbilical wound with sinus tract
I need some help coding this procedure:
Excision of umbilical wound with sinus tract- 3cm x 9 cm elliptical outline. All was sent off the field. There was no evidence of any infection or inflammation or chronic drainage. The region was throughly irrigated and the fascia overlying the mesh was closed with two interrupted figure-of-eight #1 PDS Sutures. With this being done, three layers of 2-0 Vicryl were used to reapproximate the adipose tissue, closing the dead space. Next, a 3-0 Vicryl running subdermal suture was used to reapproximate the skin, and the skin itself was closed with a running 4-0 Monocryl suture.
Thanks.
