Routine Eye Examination
If patient comes in for a routine eye examination, Medicare will not pay for the visit. If an eye condition, such as glaucoma, is discovered in the course of the examination, is that visit now covered by Medicare?

re: Routine Eye Examination
The examination will be covered but the refraction will NOT be covered. The only way the refraction is covered is post op. Refractions are always to be billed seperately.
Always bill out your "MEDICAL" exam and then your refraction as a seperate line item
