Excision of skin lesions x2 and lipomas x2
Description of procedure:
2 skin lesions were excised, largest of these excisions being approximately 2cm x 0.08cm. These were both enclosed with deep dermal sutures. Patient was rotated flat and left forearm lipoma region was prepped. A transverse incision was created and the lipoma was delivered through the skin without difficulty. Skin was closed utilizing 5-0 Monocryl and Octylseal and finally lipoma along the left anterior abdominal wall measured approximately 2cm in diameter was infiltrated with anesthetic and transverse incision created and lipoma again delivered and removed. Skin was closed with deep dermal sutures of 4-0 Vicryl followed by skin closure with 5-0 Monocryl and Octylseal.
I need some help on this one....I'm not sure how to put this all together.
Thank you
re: Excision of skin lesions x2 and lipomas x2
Here's a try:
Excision of lipoma, forearm
Excision of lipoma, abdominal wall
Excision of skin lesion
Excision of skin lesion
More info would be needed such as whether the lesions are malignant or benign, what size they are, the size of the lipomas, and their depths. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
I hope this helps.
re: Excision of skin lesions x2 and lipomas x2
They are all benign according to pathology. The largest one of the skin lesions on the thigh was 2cm x0.08cm. They closed with deep dermal sutures. The lipoma on the abdominal wall was 2 cm in diameter. The lipoma on the forearm did not state a size. The skin was closed with deep dermal stitches on the abdominal wall. The forearm was closed simple repair.
I am in need of CPT® codes and modifiers for which ones.
Thank you
I am a new coder, and any help would be greatly appreciated.
