I have been told that there a new CPT® code to replace ct abdomen and pelvis done together with contrast, is this correct? 74177?

74177

74177 describes CT, abdomen and pelvis with contrast material.
Several codes have a note (ex, code 74170), "for a combined CT abdomen and pelvis study, see 74176-74178).

The allowable for the replacement codes are much lower than the 2 combined. Anyone have any feedback on this. We only do the TC of the Ct.
