Medical Team Conference
Can a "medical team conference" be performed on the phone? And if so would the place of service depend on where the patient is or where the provider is?
99367-Medical Team Conference, Without Direct (Face-to-Face) Contact with Patient and/or Family.
We do this all the time on the phone with 3 or more separate specialties. For example Hemtology/Oncology, surgery and radiology.
The Care Plan Oversight codes indicate phone calls are part of the service but the team conference codes don't give specific information about the location of the team.
