Workers Comp (employer pay) claims

I am new to filing Workers Comp and am having trouble with an employer paying claims. How do I proceed when a surgery claim is taking longer than 5 months? I have followed up every month and the Risk Manager says he has not gotten to November 2010 bills yet?

When I have had issues and have worked the claim several times with no satisfaction, I contacted our Board of Workers Comp and was given the person's name who handles these situations. I faxed her over the notes, what I have done so far in getting the claim paid, employer and WC carrier information, the HCFA and whatever else they wanted and she took over working the claim of which I got paid within 2-3 weeks in most all cases.
