IVUS after coronary stent placement
After a coronary stent is placed in a vessel can the documented IVUS of the same vessel be coded if the physician describes the IVUS was performed demonstrating the stent is well apposed without residual stenosis or lesion prolapse. He fails to document the lumen diameter or degree of stenosis. Can IVUS still be coded or is an addendum warranted for vessel measurements?
