If a patient comes in for suture removal for just a simple laceration or biopsy with no "global" period. Can the doctors charge and ov and a copay? Thanks

re: suture removal

Who placed the sutures? If the sutures are being removed by the same provider then you cannot bill for it. If the sutures are being removed by a different provider then they should bill an office visit.

If your office placed the sutures, and there is no global period, then yes, you can charge an o.v. and collect the copay.
