Consults
Is there a limit of how many consults a specialist can bill for the same patient within a certain period of time as long as the visit meets the consult guidelines and the specialist is called in by the primary care for a different diagnosis? In other words, can a specialist bill a consult in January and another consult in August for the same patient but with different diagnoses?

If criteria is met and medically necessary, yes another consult can be billed. Medicaid in certain states may have restrictions.
