Modifier

The doctor saw a patient & performed a well visit, shots were also administered during the same visit. Does a modifier need to be added to the visit?

re: Modifier

No, but the diagnosis will be linked to why shots were administered.

re: Modifier

It has been our experience in the last six months or so, that modifier 25 should be added to the exam to avoid the admin codes being bundled w/the exam. We have not had any problems billing this way.

Yes, CCI edits have office visits and the admin code bundled together, Modifier 25 would be used accordingly.

re: Modifier

We do not use modifier 59.
