re: Billing consultation code

Yes, but why would someone ask two different physicians for consultation of the same problem? The insurance will likely ask this same question.

re: Billing consultation code

Initially there was a code 99203 billed by a provider for ulcer of the foot and later the patient was again seen by a different provider for the same ailment and the code billed was 99204, is this possible that the claim can be denied by insurance

re: Billing consultation code

Those aren't consultation codes, those are new patient visits. Anything is possible with insurance companies.

re: Billing consultation code

They aren't consultation codes but they are used in the office setting to replace consult codes for Medicare and Cigna. They no longer recognize consultation codes 99241-99245 and 99251-99255.
